about me

My name is Patrick Redmond, and basically, I've had a camera in or near my hands my entire life. My father was a really old school news photographer and reporter -- one of those guys who wore a hat with a press card in the band and carried a four by five SpeedGraphic camera slamming plates at the scene of a fire or fight. My brother is shooter too but a hell of writer. When I finally started to get serious about photography, it was my brother who taught me my first real lessons. I started shooting "professionally" when I eighteen and have had a camera of some sort in my hands ever since. I switched gears along the way, picking up a television camera that carried me around the world. I've worked for a slew of organizations and people ... MTV, VH1, CBS, NBC, ABC, NHK, as well as shows like Dateline, Prime Time and Nightline to name a few. I'm doing more still work these days than I had and am happy to report I am still learning new tricks about Photoshop every day.
